Race Tire Service and Dunlop are celebrating a historical championship winning year in 2010 with M3 Racing’s Sam Gaige being a part of that by dominating the North East and Mid Atlantic WERA Regions.

September 25-26th marked the final round of the WERA North East Regional Series at Nelson Ledges in Ohio. M3 Racing’s Sam Gaige attended Friday’s practice day to work on bike setup since he hadn’t riden at Nelson since the first weekend in May. Gaige quickly got his Yamaha R6 dailed in and ready for the weekends action. Gaige dominated and finished 1st place in 6 races. Teammate Mike Cerone finished 4th, 6th, and 7th in his races to close out the season. Injured teammate, Justin Holderman, was also in attendance to support his teammates as they finish off the season.
#20 Sam Gaige – “We had another great weekend here at Nelson Ledges. I always do really well here, and coming into the weekend i was confident that i could dominate every race again. The track condition’s were not the best, it was chilly, and the track surface got really bumpy since May. We got some decent tracktime on Friday before it got really windy and we were able to get a good setup on the bike. I took the wins in both the Medium Weight and Heavy Weight Solo20 races on Saturday so i started off the weekend really good. Sunday came around and we had the same chilly overcast weather as Saturday. I took the win in 4 races with at least a 1.244 gap between myself and 2nd place.
The entire season was great for me, and i need to thank Mike, Moms, the crew, and all our sponsors that made this year possible. We had a very strong season, and couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help.”
#456 Mike Cerone – “This weekend’s track conditions were a little rough and it’s worse since last time i rode here. With it being the final weekend for me, i just wanted to go out there and have fun. I had pulled off a race on Saturday, and did not start 2 races on Sunday, but the races i did went great for me. Im happy with my results, and overall results for the year. We have had a great season, and i set alot of personal best lap times, which was my main goal. Id like to thank Moms, the rest of the team, and all of our sponsors for everything this year.”
